Flower Pot by Ang Chee Yong
In our 2nd collaboration with local ceramicist Ang Chee Yong, we decided to create an unglazed ceramic two-part pot
- Handmade in small batches
- Unglazed for good airflow at root level
- Comes with drainage hole
- Top size: 18cmW x 18cmH (size may vary)
- Bottom size: 9cmW x 13cmH (size may vary)
Ang Chee Yong’s work is influenced by Bauhaus, Albert Gleizs (French Cubism), Marcel Duchamp (Rotoreliefs), Eduard Muygridge (Animal Location) and Fibonacei’s (Italian mathematician).
Rotation axis, overlapping and shifting planes, which created time deposition, layering and motion, is what he wish to express in his art. That is known as translation and the circular movement known as rotation. He graduated from the National Art School, Australia in 2012 with high distinction in ceramics. He has won ‘The Ceramics Technical Prize” in Sydney Australia and has exhibited in Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam. He remains an active committee member at Sculpture Society (Singapore).
